Planning

I understand that in the games industry companies with teams have a system. This system means everyone has their own job to do to make the final product for example the project leader gives his ideas and vision to the artist, the artist creates concepts and the project manager picks the one(s) he/she likes and that begins the process of art being made for the game. Meanwhile the art is being made, the artist is in contact with other sectors of the team like modelling and animating to tell them how certain physics should work for a certain character/object that they have drawn.

I planned on creating the entire environment of that by myself. I took the role of the project manager first, I created a story. A base story that you would normally get for a game that gives the artist an idea as to what he/she/they should create the art as.
After I created the story it was clear to me what kind of art I am aiming at and the character concepts that I need to start sketching and woking on.

Base Story

Set in an unbalanced universe meaning there is no balance of good and evil, either one is able to defeat the other at any time. The story is focused on defeat of good by evil and the main characters will be the devil, the devil's son and God. The devil infiltrates the universe he's banished from and kills God and all that is good and finally takes charge of the universe. On Earth, the more bad/evil people of negative nature there are, the more power the Devil gets and afters centuries of making whole societies and populations promote sin like adultery, theft, murder and bad minds, humans give him enough power to be able to infiltrate the 2nd dimension, go through defense lines of angels and other creatures to ultimately kill God. Now the main story begins. After his victory the Devil decides to go down to Earth and celebrate with humans in a human form. He gets out of control and has a fling with a human woman , assuming they cannot bare his child/seed. 20 years later he feels a new evil presence showing on this dimension (Earth) evil more than a human can perceive. The protagonist, the son gets more and more sinister as he grows up and at the age of 20 he has enough power to take on the devil. The protagonist now has to fight and kill his father to take charge of all evil forces and both the dimensions. Meanwhile from the upper dimension, his father sees how bad the worlds have turned without a good in the universe and how his son will end up destroying everything for the fun of it and he himself, turns good to fight his son.

Environmental Setting

The story consists of 2 dimensions and it shows us the 1st Dimension where the devil kills god and the other dimension where the entire universe is including all planets and Earth. Although there are other planets with simple life forms and very simple civilizations the main focus of the story is on the most advanced race that has the choice and understanding of good and bad , humans on Earth. The environments will contain scenes of a heavenish place where the devil and god fight and this will show things like beautiful rainfalls of gold color and other out of this world things. The architecture of this dimension will resemble that of humans on Earth but there is some serious evolutionary and technological advantage shown in these buildings.

Earth will have the normal up to date architecture and human world for example skyscrapers, desserts, cities and destroyed versions of cities after and while the fights break out.
The protagonist lives a simple life but knows his intentions in this world are evil and he wants to have fun. He lives in a old house that was owned by his mother where he was raised and lives there.
Hell, part of the 1st dimension , this is where the devil is shown before he goes to the other part of this dimension.
There will be lava rivers, and huge red/black burnt mountains with parts of it on fire and in the mountains are carved out prison cells
